It's Been A While....

How do you know school is back in session? Katie doesn't check or update her blog in over a month!!! Sorry!
Here's an update with what has been going on with the soon-to-be growing Messner family:

The room is painted and ready. We are currently calling around to schedule for our carpet in the house to be redone so we are waiting to buy a crib and dresser until the flooring is done. I have decided on black furniture though! I think it will look good with the pink/black/white theme in the room.
At my last doctor's visit everything was fine. We talked about contractions and the baby's movements (which by the way she does WAY more than I think is normal!). Jimmy loves to feel and watch my belly anytime we are on the couch or in bed. My stomach moves around like crazy and she is just a wild one so far.

I have a doctor's visit tomorrow for my glucose test (where they are testing for gestations diabetes/sugar levels). I will let you all know how that goes. Fingers crossed that everything is fine!
Since my last post, Jimmy and I have also attended Baby Care classes and a Childbirth Prep class. The Baby Care class was pretty much a waste of time but we got some giggles out of it. People were being so serious and I honestly don't think knew how to hold or wash a baby. The Childbirth Prep class was ABSOLUTELY worth it! We both feel better now, we know where to park, where to go, what to expect and most importantly...how to breathe! :0) I can't believe Jimmy sat through two days of that class but he was a trooper because he was sick too.
I have registered (finally) but it was quite an interesting process. I had no idea what to register for so thankfully Sarah spent the day and helped me out. I think the registry got a bit messed up and I need to fix it online but for the most part...that is done...whew!

I will post pics but these pics were from the middle of July and I think that I have gotten MUCH bigger since then. Things that fit me before school even started are no longer fitting me. She is growing and growing but that is a good thing!

So, hopefully with the next post I will have updated pictures as well as good news from the doctor.

Oh yeah, one very cool thing that is happening is that I can feel her little body parts moving around in there with my hand. Apparently your amniotic fluid level lowers and there is less cushioning as well as her bones are hardening so whenever I want to feel her little foot or knee or whatever...I can usually just push my hand down (gently of course) on my belly and she'll be there. She likes to push back sometimes. It is very strange but oh so wonderful at the same time!
AND (geez a lot HAS happened since I last posted) we got the carseat -thanks mom- and it is the cutest car seat ever. It is black and white with the damask pattern which matches the room. She is going to look so very precious in it.
