We bought the crib, the dresser and a hutch for the top of the dresser instead of the mirror. I can't wait to get it and set it up.
Carpet is coming in October 5th so a few days after that I should have pictures of her room with furniture in it. Hooray!

Daddy's Trip to Babies R Us
Jimmy and I went to Babies R Us yesterday to check out some cribs and dressers. It was the funniest thing ever!
At first, Jimmy seemed very uncomfortable and only interested in how much longer he had to be in a store like that. After a while, he really loosened up and I kept on losing him everywhere in the store! As I was looking at cribs, he disappeared and came back to me asking me to follow him. He thought he had found the best car seat in the universe because it looked to be so much safer than our current car seat. He was demonstrating all of the little doo-dads to me.
Then as I was guiding him back over to the cribs, he had to stop at every aisle and ask if we are "getting one of these" or "what is this?" He was in awe I think of all of the baby stuff and was probably wondering if I had registered for things for "safety or style" as usual! He cracks me up.
The end result of the trip was that we are going to USA Baby today. I liked the cribs at Babies R Us but none of the dressers have a hutch on top and I have lots of cutesy little things and books I want to put in the room already for this baby girl! I think she is going to need a beautiful hutch with her dresser!
I'll let you all know what we find! Maybe we will even come home with something...or at least pictures!

No News Is Good News....
I have had two dr.'s appointments since my last point so here is a quick update!
I had my glucose test appointment. I had to (rather got to) drink the orange drink. I heard it was awful and wasn't looking forward to it. By the time I got to the dr.'s office, I was so hungry I could NOT wait to drink it. It was actually quite yummy and reminded me of the orange drink all kids love at McDonalds. Jimmy went and ran some work errands while I was waiting the hour to be able to get my blood drawn. I let him go on the condition he would be back in time (I HATE needles!). Well, after a billion texts and telling me to wait, I couldn't wait anymore and I stopped being a baby. I went in and did it on my own and was fine. He literally got there about 45 seconds after we were done! The dr.'s office told me that no news was good news so I am happy to report, I received NO news!! And by the way, Jimmy took me to a very delicious lunch afterwards to make up for him missing the appointment. :0)
My last appointment was on Monday. Everything was good there too. She is still breech apparently but has some time still to shift around. Her heartbeat was 140 something (I forget!) and I was measuring at 32 cm so pretty much right on track.
My next appointment is next Monday. After that I think I am going to weekly appointments. She is almost here! HOORAY! Her mommy and daddy can't wait!
